ThingWorx Utilities Configuration

The following table describes configurations required for ThingWorx Utilities.

Utility	Requirement
ThingWorx Business Process Editor	In order for an Alert or Event to initiate a Business Process, its parent thing or thing template must implement the PTC.BPE.BusinessProcessManageable thing shape.
ThingWorx Asset Monitor	In order for an asset to appear in the asset search, the following must be completed: The resource provider that provides the asset must be tagged with Role:Ownables. The things (or thing templates) must implement the ResourceThingShape for the resource provider. The out-of-the-box thing shapes in ThingWorx Converge are PTC.Resource.Asset.ThingworxAsset (non-SCM assets) and PTC.Resource.Asset.SCMResourceThingShape. In order for the asset to function completely, the asset thing or thing template must implement the TW.RSM.ManagedAsset ThingShape. If File Transfer and Remote Session functionality is desired, the things or thing templates should derive from the RemoteThingWithTunnelsAndFileTransfer thing template.
ThingWorx Software Content Management	In order for an asset to appear in the asset search, the resource provider that provides the asset must be tagged with SCM:Updateable and the things (or thing templates) must implement the PTC.Resource.Asset.SCMResourceThingShape ThingShape. In order for the asset to function completely, the asset thing or thing template must implement the TW.RSM.SFW.ThingShape.Updateable thing shape.
