Benefits and Description
You can use the PTC_CONSTRAINT_SET parameter to create a variety of placement options for the component in the assembly. From Component Placement > Placement, you can disable a constraint set and then create a new constraint set. This constraint set is added as a new value for the PTC_CONSTRAINT_SET parameter. When one value, constraint set or sets is active, the remaining values are disabled. You can vary the PTC_CONSTRAINT_SET parameter in Family Table instances. When the activated constraint set differs from that in the generic assembly, the component is placed differently in the instance.
