Benefits and Description
The Cosmetic Thread user interface is updated. You can create a simple thread or a standard engineering thread. For a simple thread, the cosmetic thread is created as a surface offset from the selected surface, as it is in Creo Elements/Pro 5.0. For a standard thread, an attempt is made to match a thread size to the selected thread surface based on the currently in-use hole files. If a match is found, the match becomes default or you can choose to apply a standard thread. You cannot modify the diameter of a standard cosmetic thread and the diameter is not automatically updated if the size of the cosmetic thread surface reference changes.
