Editing Service Effectivity of Multiple Items
You can edit service effectivity values for multiple items at the same time. When you select multiple items from an information structure or publication structure, all the service effectivity objects that are linked to the selection are displayed.

You can edit only one service effectivity object at a time.
Once a service effectivity definition has been modified, the updated values are applied to the target items which were linked to the original service effectivity. You have the option to extend or add the updated service definition to all the items in your selection, including those items which were originally not linked to the service object.
1. Select the items using the CTRL key in the structure browser of its information page.
2. Right-click and select the Manage Applicability menu option.
3. The Manage Applicability (Multiple Items Selected) window opens, displaying the Selected Items and Service Effectivity panes.
4. In the Service Effectivity field, click on the service effectivity object that you want to update and click .
5. The Edit Service Effectivity window opens. Edit the service effectivity values as required.
By default, the updated service effectivity is applied to only those items which were linked to the original service effectivity. The list of those items are displayed in the Target Items field. This field is collapsed by default. Click the expand icon to view the list of selected items.
6. Select the Expand Edit to All Selected Items checkbox if you want to add the updated service effectivity to the items that did not have the original service effectivity.
Click OK to edit a service effectivity object and exit the window.
Click Apply to edit a service effectivity object and remain in the Edit Service Effectivity window.
