Exporting Reports
Exporting a report saves the report and all supporting custom artifacts (such as Info*Engine tasks, JSPs, RBINFO files, and so on) as a ZIP file. Only customer-created or customer-modified files saved in the directories specified in the Report Customization Directory site-level preference are exported. PTC-provided reports artifacts and code are not exported.
Only site and organization administrators can export reports. The exported reports can later be imported into another Windchill system.
*
When using the Export Reports and Import Reports actions to export reports with custom files from one Windchill system to another Windchill system, the value for the Report Customization Directory preference must be the same on both the source and target systems.
Reports can be exported in one of the following ways:
Selecting one or more reports from the Reports table, and clicking the export reports icon . If more than one report is selected, the resulting ZIP file contains the report and supporting custom artifacts for all selected reports.
Right-clicking on the report in the Reports table, and selecting the Export Reports action from the right-click actions menu.
Selecting the Export Reports action from the Actions menu on the report information page.
After you initiate the export, a window appears showing the progress of the export, and disappears when the export is complete. The resulting ZIP file is saved to the default location for downloads on your local computer.
