New Iteration for Replication Packages
The New Iteration action is available to create the next iteration in the version sequence for the replication package. For example, if the current version is A.6, the next iteration would be A.7. New iterations are useful if you plan to send frequent incremental deliveries of the replication package. Using iterations rather than new revisions prevents you from rapidly exhausting the version scheme when providing more frequent deliveries. New revisions can be reserved for more significant events, such as altering the selected contexts or marking the introduction of a full delivery.

The New Iteration action is only available for the latest version of a locked replication package.
1. Select New Iteration from:
The right-click actions menu for a replication package
The Actions menu on the replication package information page
2. In the New Iteration window, enter a short description of the replication package iteration in the Description field.
3. Choose one of the following revision options:
Refresh content after copy: Refresh the content of this replication package after it has been copied to the new replication package iteration.
Copy delivery information: Copy the delivery information and attributes from this replication package into the new replication package iteration.
4. Click OK.
A new replication package iteration is created. Once the new iteration is created, the previous iteration cannot be unlocked. You can view the different replication package iterations in the Version History table, accessed from Customize > History > Version History on the replication package information page.
