Variant Specification in Process Plan Browser
You can filter a process plan based on variant specification. The Saved Filters list in the process plan structure displays the following actions to manage the variant specification filter:
New Variant Specification: Create a new standalone variant specification associated with an option set. For more information, see Creating a Variant Specification for an Option Set.
Find Variant Specification: Search for a variant specification and apply it on the structure. For more information, see Filtering a Product Structure Using a Variant Specification.
If you have applied variant specifications on the structure, the Saved Filters list displays up to three recently used ones.
You can create or apply a variant specification filter to a configurable part with an assigned option set using the Tree Picker in the process plan structure. You can undock the Tree Picker and search for a configurable part in the Tree Picker Search window. The New Variant Specification and Find Variant Specification actions are available in the list in the window. The part structure is filtered based on the variant specification applied to that part.
The following table describes the types of variant specifications applicable to a configurable part and process plan.
