Updating Object Attributes
Perform the following steps to update the attributes of multiple objects simultaneously:
1. In the Folder Contents table, select multiple objects for which you want to update the attribute and select Mass Update Manufacturing Objects from the Actions menu.
The Mass Update Manufacturing Objects Assistant window opens.
*
If you access Mass Update Manufacturing Objects without selecting the objects, all the objects displayed in the Folder Contents table of the current product or library are considered for attribute update. If you select only a single object, the associations of that object are considered for an update. For information on updating an association, see Updating Object Associations.
2. In the Type of objects to update list, select the object type for which you want to update the attribute.
If the objects selected for an update belong to different types, only those objects which belong to the type you specify in this list will be updated.
The Items to update field displays the number of objects considered for attribute update. If you have selected an object along with a folder that contains a subfolder, only the selected object and the objects within the folder are considered for attribute update. The objects within the subfolder are not considered.
If the Include sub-folders checkbox is selected, the objects included within the subfolders are also considered for an update. The checkbox is disabled when the objects considered for an update do not contain a subfolder or when you access Mass Update Manufacturing Objects after selecting the objects.
