Exporting from Windchill MPMLink
Windchill MPMLink objects can be exported to an XML format using the Windchill import/export utility.
While the Windchill Import/Export utility for parts and documents generally focuses on moving content and metadata from one Windchill instance to another, the primary goals of exporting Windchill MPMLink objects to XML files are to:
Import into process simulation tools
Provide reporting information
*
Exported Windchill MPMLink objects are compressed into a JAR file.

After Exporting
Once you have completed exporting Windchill MPMLink objects:
Exported process plan objects can be used as the base for a complete process plan structure, including all associated sequences, operations, parts, dependent child parts allocated to operations and documents, all built with the active configuration specification.
Exported resource elements (Plant, Resource Group and Manufacturing Resource) can be used as the base for a complete resource structure, including all associated child resource elements and documents, all built with the active configuration specification.
Exported manufacturing standard groups can be used as the base for a complete standard group structure, including all associated documents, child manufacturing standard groups or manufacturing capabilities and standard procedures, and part allocations, all built with the active configuration specification.
All Process Plan items, Resource items, Manufacturing Standard Groups and Manufacturing Processes are included in the JAR file.
All customized attributes and values are exported along with the Windchill MPMLink object.
