Use Case 2: One-to-Many Equivalent Links Scenarios
Consider that the following structure is present in the BOM Transformer:
Use the New/Add > Assemble action, in the upstream view, to create the alternate assemblies Alternate Assembly 1 and Alternate Assembly 2 in the downstream view. For more information, see About Assemble Action in BOM Transformer.
An alternate equivalent link exists between Part C2 (Design) in the upstream view and Part C2 (Design) present under Alternate Assembly 1 in the downstream view.
An alternate equivalent link exists between Part C2 (Design) in the upstream view and Part C2 (Design) present under Alternate Assembly 2 in the downstream view.
The equivalent usage status is displayed. It indicates that the equivalent usage is fully consumed.
1. Change the quantity of Part C2 (Design) in the upstream view from 4 to 6.
The equivalent usage status is displayed. It indicates that the equivalent usage is under consumed.
2. Change the quantity of Part C2 (Design) in the upstream view from 6 to 2.
The equivalent usage status is displayed. It indicates that the equivalent usage is over consumed.
