About Propagating Child Parts Under First-Level Child Parts in Split Assemblies
When you use the New Split Assemblies action, the propagation of the first-level child parts of the assemblies depends on the selection in the Transformation Type list in the New Split Assemblies dialog box.
The propagation of the child parts under the first-level child parts in the upstream view depends on the values set in the following preferences:
• Associativity > Structure Transformation Actions > Paste as New Part > Child Structure Option.
The value in this preference defines the behavior of the New Part and New Part Per Assembly selections in the Transformation Type list.
• Associativity > Structure Transformation Actions > Paste as New Branch or Paste As New View > Child Structure Option.
The value in this preference defines the behavior of the New Branch selection in the Transformation Type list.
