About Propagating Child Parts Under First-Level Child Parts in the Alternate Assemblies
When you use the Assemble action, the propagation of the first-level child parts of the assemblies depends on the selection in the Transformation Type list in the Assemble dialog box.
The propagation of the child parts under the first-level child parts in the upstream view depends on the values set in the following preferences:
• Associativity > Structure Transformation Actions > Paste as New Part > Child Structure Option.
The value in this preference defines the behavior of New Part and New Part Per Assemblyselections in the Transformation Type list.
• Associativity > Structure Transformation Actions > Paste as New Branch or Paste As New View > Child Structure Option.
The value in this preference defines the behavior of New Branch selection in the Transformation Type list.
