PDM to Project Sharing
When sharing from PDM to a project using Share access, the current iteration of some object types is added to the project baseline. (The project baseline is not visible in the project and is not accessible to users.) Whether the iteration is added to the baseline affects its Update action behavior. For more information, see Synchronizing Shared Objects.
Adding shared objects to the project baseline also allows CAD applications to interact with shared objects.

Actions and objects that can be shared using the Add to Project action can also be shared using the Send to PDM action.
Project to Project Sharing
When sharing from a project to another project, you can modify the access control settings for some object types. For example, you can extend modify access for shared documents. For more information, see Sharing from Project to Project.
