Administering Transactions
The administrator can manually edit the status of a subtransaction from the existing status to another based upon the actual publication result in the ERP system. This can happen if there is an error in the ERP system and TIBCO could not send a confirmation message back to your Windchill solution.
Changing subtransaction Status
To manually change the status of a subtransaction, use the following procedure:
1. Navigate to Enterprise Systems Transaction Administration, available from Utilities under Organization or Site.
2. Enter the search criteria upon which to base the search. In the Object Type field select Enterprise Systems Transaction.
3. Click Search.
The search results appear in the Search Results table.
4. Find the transaction that has the incorrect status and click Set Sub-Transaction Status.
5. Use Select Status drop-down to change the subtransaction status. The following options are available:
Pending
Failed
Succeeded
Warning
*
Changing a subtransaction's status from Pending to Failed may result in a failure task getting generated if the workflow is still active. Also, the status of the parent transaction is automatically set to a value, depending on the modified values of statuses of its subtransactions.
6. Click OK.
The status is updated and a confirmation window opens to verify that the change was made. The end date is left for the normal workflow to complete; it is not updated when the administrator manually changes the status. A change made by the administrator to a transaction is noted when the transaction or subtransaction is selected. A subtransaction must be selected and updated for the note to appear.
Marking a Transaction for Deletion
To manually mark a transaction for deletion, use the following procedure:
1. Navigate to Enterprise Systems Transaction Administration, available from Utilities under Organization or Site.
2. Enter the search criteria upon which to base the search. In the Object Type field select Enterprise Systems Transaction.
3. Click Search.
The search results appear in the Search Results table. If no transactions match your search criteria, then the message "No Items to Display" appears in the Transactions table.
4. Find the transaction that has the incorrect status and click Mark For Delete.
The transaction is removed from the table, but the published objects remain in the ERP system.
*
The Mark For Delete option also appears when right-clicking a Transaction or a Released Object row. When the Mark For Delete option is chosen for a Transaction row, the selected transaction alone is marked for deletion. When the Mark For Delete option is chosen for a Released Object row all transactions within the release are marked for deletion.
Viewing Related Jobs for a Transaction
To view related jobs for a transaction, use the following procedure:
1. Navigate to Enterprise Systems Transaction Administration, available from Utilities under Organization or Site.
2. Enter the search criteria upon which to base the search. In the Object Type field select Enterprise Systems Transaction.
3. Click Search.
The search results appear in the Search Results table. If no transactions match your search criteria, then the message No Items to Display appears in the Transactions table.
4. Right-click the transaction whose job you would like to see and select Related Job. The Job details page appears.
*
The Related Job option is relevant only for transactions that publish data to distributed process distribution targets.
