Smart Collection Objects
The Smart Collection feature provides the ability to break a complex structure into cohesive or workable chunks from which manufacturing planning can be executed. In Windchill ESI, you can publish a smart collection using the ERP Connector. Read more about smart collection.
Windchill ESI passes smart collection objects to the EAI software components. Information related to a smart collection object is published in the following element types in the ESI response:
AddedSmartCollection
ChangedSmartCollection
UnchangedSmartCollection
The following table describes different element tags in the ESI response message:
Scenario
Element Type in ESI Response
New smart collection objects
AddedSmartCollection, AddedContextPart, AddedContentPart, AddedNavigationCriteria
Updated smart collection objects
ChangedSmartCollection, ChangedContextPart, ChangedContentPart, ChangedNavigationCriteria
Existing smart collection objects
UnchangedSmartCollection, UnchangedContextPart, UnchangedContentPart, UnchangedNavigationCriteria
Deleted smart collection objects
DeletedContextPart, DeletedContentPart, DeletedNavigationCriteria
