Creating a Type Identifier

To create a new type identifier, use the following procedure:

1. Display the Manage Type Identifier page by clicking the corresponding link in the gray navigation bar on the left side of the window.

2. Under Create Type Identifier, enter information as follows:

◦ From the Repository Type drop-down list, select the repository type to which the type identifier applies.

◦ In the Type Identifier field, enter the name of the type identifier. This is a required field.

◦ Select the desired super types, if any, for the type identifier.

▪ To add a super type to the type identifier, select the super type in the Available Super Types list and move it to the Super Type list by clicking

▪ To remove a super type from the type identifier, select the super type in the Super Type list, and click

◦ Select the Federated check box if this type identifier is to be federated.

3. Click Create.
