Viewing CAD or Dynamic Document Structures
On the information page for a CAD or dynamic document that represents a structure, you can select the Structure tab to display a hierarchical table that allows you to see the tree structure of an object and its components without having to open their authoring application.
The Structure tab in the information tab for a CAD document contains tools for displaying and editing structures. When you select the Structure tab, the area below the toolbar is divided into panes. The left pane displays the structure tree, while the right pane contains information organized into tabs. The following table lists these tabs:
Tabs
Description
Attributes
Displays important attribute information about the selected CAD item.
Uses
Displays the parts that are used by the CAD document selected in the structure pane.
Visualization
Displays graphical information for the CAD document.
Model Items
Displays information about model item (body, feature, or drawing block) contained in the CAD document.
In addition to a default view of the structure, the Structure tab allows you to customize your view of the structure and perform certain actions. The following table lists the view controls and actions available in the actions tool bar.
*
Actions may be unavailable for certain selected objects, depending on their status, or on whether you are viewing the workspace or commonspace version of the information page.

Actions available in the contextual (right-click) menu for an object or its components listed on the Structure tab are typically a subset of the actions available in the Actions menu. An important exception occurs only on the Structure tab of a workspace information page. Instead of Open in > Open in Creo View (which is the option available from the commonspace information page), you will see Open Context In > Open in Creo View (if the preference Workgroup Manager Client > Design In Context > Show Open Context in Creo View and CAD Tool Action is set to Yes). This command for a workspace object does two things.
Creates a design context from the structure (in the background)
Opensthe dynamic representation of the new design context in Creo View
In the pane to the right of the structure pane, either the Attributes tab or Uses tab can be selected.
When the Attributes tab is selected, the CAD document attributes of the object currently selected in the structure pane are displayed.
When the Uses tab is selected, the components used by the object selected in the structure pane are displayed. Also available on the Uses tab are actions you can perform on one or more (multi-select is available) selected objects in the Uses tab. These actions are listed in the following table.
