Setting a Proximity Rule
To define a proximity spatial rule:
1. Select the spatial rule icon on the Visualization tab, then select Set Proximity Spatial Rule.
The Set Proximity Spatial Rule window opens with the selected part name, number, and version displayed in the Part field.
2. Enter 0 or a positive real number in the Proximity field.
The proximity volume is enlarged in all directions using this number.
3. By default, components that are partially within the proximity volume are included in the structure.
Select Remove items that are partially outside the proximity region to include only those components that are completely within the proximity volume.
4. Click OK to dismiss the Set Proximity Spatial Rule window.
The rule is applied to the part structure.

The bounding box for positioning and extended positioning assemblies may appear blank, and they are not used or evaluated.
