Adding, Creating, and Removing Part Association
The Compare to Part Structure action allows non-CAD users, with little or no understanding about the workspace environment to make associate parts; such that, it may help them in product creation decisions and in managing or creating the eBoMs. The non-CAD users can create and associate parts, add part associations, and remove part associations.
The window uses status glyphs to indicate those CAD documents that have a part associated with them.If a CAD document has no associated parts, then you must manually associate a part to it.
*
When you add an existing part, create a new part association, and remove part associations, those changes are immediately displayed in the window with default association types.
The changes made to the part associations are checked out of the workspace. Ensure that you check in the modified part associations before saving the workspace.
Changes to the build type associations may not be fully applied unless you check in the Part.
