PDM Actions for SOLIDWORKS
PDM (Product Data Management) actions are used to manage your CAD data in Windchill. These actions are available from SOLIDWORKS and the Windchill HTML user interface.

To connect to the Windchill Workgroup Manager from SOLIDWORKS, you must do the following:
Register the SOLIDWORKS application
Register and connect to the Windchill server.
When SOLIDWORKS is connected to Windchill Workgroup Manager, some PDM actions become active in SOLIDWORKS, such as Check In and Check Out.

PDM actions available in the SOLIDWORKS application are available in the PTC Windchill ribbon menu. The following table lists the various PDM actions and their access paths.
