Edit Configuration Specification Window
Windchill managers and other users can edit config specs for an IBM Rational ClearCase adapter from the Adapters Administration utility in Windchill.
Edit Config Spec in the Configuration Specifications window opens the Edit Configuration Specification window.
The Edit Configuration Specification window allows for the modification of existing contexts to an IBM Rational ClearCase adapter. An adapter can have one or more context associations. Those associations are listed as labels and appear in the Labels table.
1. You can perform the following functions in the Edit Configuration Specification window:
Action
Description
Description
Change the description of the config spec for the adapter.
Label
Add version labels by typing the name of the label in the text box and click Add in the toolbar.
Remove a version label by clicking the Remove toolbar.
Change the priority of the version label in the label list.
*
The Labels table is essentially an ordered list of labels. You enter which labels you want to use for the config spec of an adapter.
The system does not currently check with IBM Rational ClearCase to ensure that the entered label names are valid. Therefore you must verify that the entered label names are correct. An incorrectly entered label name possibly returns no results when browsing IBM Rational ClearCase from Windchill
If you are working with multiple labels, the labels towards the top of the list take precedence over the labels toward the bottom of the list. If several labels reference different versions of the same object, then the object version referenced by the highest label on the list is used.
2. To change the order of the labels in the list, select the label to reposition. Click the action in the Labels table.
