Adding Non–ISO-8859-1 Characters to the wpc_preferences.txt File
You can use only ISO-8859-1 characters encoding in the wpc_preferences.txt file for Japanese.
To add non–ISO-8859-1 characters, such as a folder name in Japanese for a baseline folder, you must convert the file with the non–ISO-8859-1 characters to an ASCII file.
Perform the following steps to add non–ISO-8859-1 characters to the wpc_preferences.txt file:
1. Rename the wpc_preferences.txt file.
2. Add the required non–ISO-8859-1 characters in this file.
3. To convert this file to an ASCII file, go to http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/index.html and select java.util > Properties > native2ascii tool for Windows.
*
If you are using a Java version other than 1.4.2, go to http://java.sun.com/reference/docs/ and see the documentation for the Java version that you are using.
4. Follow the instructions on this page.
5. Save the ASCII file as wpc_preferences.txt in the %WPC_HOME% directory.
