Windchill Workgroup Manager provides new option values for expose.model.annotations preference that allows you to select annotation elements from a 3D model in CATIA V5 and expose the selected items to Windchill. When the preference is set to Designated, you can select one or multiple PMI, then right-click Properties > Manufacturing and set or unset the To manufacture check-box (or Consumable check-box depending on the CATIA V5 version you are using). By setting the check-box, you will be able to expose the selected PMI to Windchill.

Controls how to expose annotations in CAD models as control characteristics in Windchill for downstream manufacturing processes. This preference is applicable only to CATIA V5.
• All — Expose all model annotations to Windchill.
• Designated — Expose only annotations marked as consumable for manufacturing.
• None(default) — Does not expose model annotations.
The selected annotation elements are exposed in the Model Item Structure tab for a CAD part information page in Windchill.
