PTC has extended support for adding external objects to Associated Reference Objects table.
The change management objects that are identified as associated reference objects provide a means to link external change management objects.
These associated reference objects do not participate in the overall change management process that they are associated with. They provide a reference to the external change management objects and provide visibility to such external change management objects. The external change management objects could potentially be involved in the overall change management process. However, their involvement needs to be managed manually.
The Name, Number, Identity and State columns in the Affected Objects and Associated Reference Objects tables support external change objects in addition to local objects. You can customize the view of these tables to display external objects.
