Current and Previous Values for Change Types
The table in the Upstream Changes and Resulting Downstream Changes panels displays the updated part details with the current and previous values for a change type. The table given below illustrates examples of the current and previous values for each type of change. The following structure is considered for the example:
Change Type
Current Value
Previous Value
Added Parts
Path from the parent node to the added part using pipe character (|). For example, if Child5 (0005) is added under Child2 in the given example, the path displayed is 0001|0002|0005.
Blank.
Control Characteristics
Added control characteristic in the format: Control Characteristic – number, name. For example, Control Characteristic – 000306, CC1.
Blank if a control characteristic is removed.
Removed control characteristic in the format: Control Characteristic – number, name. For example, Control Characteristic – 000413, CC7.
Blank if a control characteristic is added.
Effectivity
Updated effectivity values of a part in the format: Type: | Context: | Qualifier: | Range:. For example, for changes in date effectivity on Child3, the current value displays: Type: Date| Context: 0003| Qualifier: Exact| Range 3/12/2019 – 3/19/2019.
Previous effectivity values of a part in the format: Type: | Context: | Qualifier: | Range:. For example, for changes in date effectivity on Child3, the previous value displays: Type: Date| Context: 0003| Qualifier: Exact| Range 2/18/2019 – 2/25/2019.
Flexible Representation
Path from the parent node that holds flexible features to the child part with the updated flexible representation, using pipe character (|) as a separator. For example, if Child3 is updated and Parent1 holds the flexible representation feature in the given example, the path displayed is 0001|0002|0003.
Blank if a flexible representation is removed.
Path from the parent node that holds flexible features to the child part with the updated flexible representation, using pipe character (|) as a separator. For example, if Child3 is updated and Parent1 holds the flexible representation feature in the given example, the path displayed is 0001|0002|0003.
Blank if a flexible representation is added.
Occurrence Expressions
Updated value of an occurrence expression assigned to a part. For example, (BLUE).
Previous value of an occurrence expression assigned to a part. For example, (RED).
Out of Position
Updated X, Y, and Z coordinate values and X, Y, and Z axis values for a part. For example, 1.0m 2.0m 3.0m 6.0r 7.0r 8.0r.
Previous X, Y, and Z coordinate values and X, Y, and Z axis values for a part. For example, 0.0m 2.0m 1.0m 5.0r 0.0r 0.0r.
Part Attributes
Updated attribute value of a part. For example, Source=Make.
Previous attribute value of a part. For example, Source=Buy.
Quantity
Updated quantity value. For example, 2.0.
Previous quantity value. For example, 1.0.
Removed Parts
Blank.
Path from the parent node to the removed part using pipe character (|) as a separator. For example, if Child3 is removed in the given example, the path displayed is 0001|0002|0003.
Replaced Parts
Path from the parent node to the replaced part using pipe character (|) as a separator. For example, if Child3 is replaced with Child6 (0006) in the given example, the path displayed is 0001|0002|0006.
Path from the parent node to the previous part using pipe character (|) as a separator. For example, if Child3 is replaced with Child6 (0006) in the given example, the path displayed is 0001|0002|0003.
Usage Attributes
Updated value of a usage attribute. For example, Find Number=10.
Previous value of a usage attribute. For example, Find Number=40.
Usage Expressions
Updated value of a usage expression assigned to a part. For example, (BLUE).
Previous value of a usage expression assigned to a part. For example, (RED).
