Merging Part Usage Links
Use the Merge Usage after Cut action to merge two same part usages of same parent. This action can be performed after executing a Cut action. This action is available in the Usage mode only. That is, you can perform this action only on usage links.
Consider the following points about using the
Merge Usage after Cut action:
• The action is available in upstream and downstream views of BOM Transformer.
• This action is not supported at the root node of the structure.
• Usage links of different parent cannot be merged.
• The build status of the two links to be merged should be same.
To merge two usage links, perform the following:
1. Right-click the usage link to be merged and select Cut.
2. Right-click the target usage link with which you want to merge and select
Merge Usage after Cutto merge the usages. The
Quantity of the usage is also updated.
