Creating an Audit Log Purge Schedule
You can plan and schedule jobs for purging of audit logs in the application. To create a purging schedule, perform the following steps:
1. On the Audit Log Purge Scheduler page, click the new audit log purge schedule icon . The Audit Log Purge Scheduler window opens.
2. On the Details tab, specify the following details:
Name - Type a unique name for the schedule.
Description - Provide a description of the schedule.
3. Click Next.
4. On the Purge Criteria tab, select the criteria for purging:
Duration — All the audit records for the selected duration will be purged.
Start date and End date — All the audit records from the prescribed date range will be purged.

The start date can be blank but a value for end date is required. In such a case where no start date is provided, all audit records available until the specified end date will be purged.
5. The Save purged records to a Document check box is selected by default. The records are saved to an XML document stored in Windchill. Clear the check box if you do not want to save purged records.
6. Click Next.
7. On the Scheduling Options tab, schedule the start and frequency of the purge. The following options are available:
Immediate—Select this option to start the process of purging audit records immediately.
Scheduled— Select this option to schedule the purging task on a certain date and time. Specify the values for the preferred date and time in Start At.
8. If you specified values for the Scheduled option, select the frequency of executing the job from the options listed under Frequency.
9. Click Finish. The newly created schedule is listed in the Audit Log Purge Scheduler table.
