Reverting a Cluster to a Single System
Any cluster node allowed to become a cluster master can be reconfigured to become a single, non-cluster system. This means any host defined in the wt.cache.master.hostname property, or, if no hosts are defined, any cluster node can become a single, non-cluster system. Shut down all other nodes and only start up the individual node to use the host as a single Windchill system. If the node does not have any foreground method servers enabled, then you must reconfigure the site.xconf file to enable foreground method servers. If this standalone system must use a different host name than originally assigned to the Windchill cluster, then the system must be rehosted.
For more information on configuring foreground method servers see the section Configuring Method Server and Background Method Servers on Cluster Nodes in Installing and Configuring a Cluster Windchill Environment.
For information about rehosting, see the Windchill Rehosting Guide that is supported for the current release.
