The Windchill add-in for Office Online lets you perform Windchill actions online, not only on your local installation of Microsoft Office. You can enable support for Windchill Office Online integration by setting the File Download Mechanism preference to Open Office files in Office Online.
After configuring the Windchill add-in for Office Online, you can perform Windchill actions like creating, checking in, checking out, undoing checkout, and viewing documents in Office Online applications.
