Change Management: Referencing Affected Objects in External Systems
Product: Windchill PDMLink
Release: 12.0.0.0
Benefit
Manage architecture data as affected objects.
Identify remote objects as affected objects in a problem report and variance.
Additional Details
PTC has extended support for remote architecture objects in addition to remote requirement objects. The Architecture External Resource and its subtypes are available out of the box.
Issues that exist in a product, library or project context can now reference remote objects as an affected object using the collector or Copy action. Similar to a change request, the Affected Objects table of a problem report and variance shows the remote changeable objects in addition to the local objects, when the wt.change.remoteChangeableObjects.enabled property is set to true. You can create a specific view for the requirement and architecture resources of a problem report and variance. Remote changeable objects can be propagated to a downstream change request, problem report, and variance.
