Link Information Page
There are three types of user-created links:
• A link to an object within Windchill
• A link to a website
The link information page is a collection point for information related to the link, and is accessed by clicking the information icon
next to a link in the
Notebook table,
My Notebook table,
Folder Contents table, or the
Network table. For more information, see
Creating a Link.
From the information page, you can perform actions on a link, as well as view the link attributes and any related information. For an overview of information page functionality, see

Actions
Information pages contain a list of applicable actions in the
Actions menu, which is found in the upper left corner of the page. See
Common Actions for a list of options frequently available from the
Actions menu.
| The availability of these actions depends on the status of the object as well as your access to it. Not all actions display for every user. Permissions, roles, and teams all affect action display. For more information, see Object Status and Understanding Data Accessibility. |
The link information page has two available actions:
• Edit Link—Opens the
Edit Link window, allowing you to modify the link attributes.
• Delete—Deletes the link from
Windchill.
Tabs
You can customize the tabs that appear on each information page to display the information most useful to you. When you create a new tab, the
Customize menu appears, allowing you to view any additional
information tables that might not appear on the default tabs. For more information, see

The link information page includes the
Details tab, which lists attributes associated with each link. See
Object Attributes for a list of common attributes available in
Windchill.
Link Type | Attribute | Description |
 Website | URL | The path to the linked website. Clicking this brings you to the website. |
 Object | Target | The object to which the link leads. Clicking this takes you to the object information page. |
 Uploaded File | File Name | The name of the uploaded file. Clicking this opens the file content. |
