Installing Windchill PDMLink on a Pro/INTRALINK System
If you are updating Pro/INTRALINK to Windchill PDMLink, select the Update Existing Installation option in the PSI, and then select Move up to Windchill PDMLink.Windchill PDMLink shares the same schema and base data as Pro/INTRALINK, so there is no need to install additional schema or base data when installing Windchill PDMLink on top of Pro/INTRALINK.
After you complete the update process, complete the move to Windchill PDMLink by executing the following command from a Windchill shell:
windchill wt.load.WindchillLoader -Application=Windchill.PDMLink -Locale=<locale>
*
Any customizations done to existing life cycle templates, object initialization rules, or file based series may be overwritten when this command is run. However, loading life cycle templates and file based series can be skipped. Customized object initialization rules can be saved before running the command, and then uploaded after.
Upon completing the Windchill PDMLink installation the Pro/INTRALINK is replaced by Windchill PDMLink in the Windchill version.
If you have customized or otherwise modified your Pro/INTRALINK installation, consult the chapter "Managing Customizations" in the Windchill Customization Guide before installing Windchill PDMLink.
