Rules for Removing Objects from a Workspace
Consider these rules for using the Remove action:
You can select a generic or instance to remove from a workspace.
When you select a generic, the instances are also selected. An individual instance can be removed without removing the generic or other instances.
When you remove a generic or an instance, any modified instances are also removed.
Removing a generic removes the SolidWorks part file from the Windchill File System.
If a model file is open in SolidWorks when you use Remove from a workspace, Windchill Workgroup Manager prompts you to close the family objects in SolidWorks.
