Behaviour of Creo Authored CAD Documents
Creo authored data are the CAD documents that are created in CATIA V5, NX, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo Elements/Direct Modeling and checked into Windchill through Creo. These documents are ‘Read-only’ in native CAD sessions that are connected to Windchill Workgroup Manager. You can perform Open and Save As actions on Creo-authored CAD Documents(models) in a CAD session connected to Windchill Workgroup Manager.
*
A Warning message appears when you try to Open and Edit the Creo authored data in native CAD tool.
The same Warning message is displayed in the client message area as seen in the following image.
*
An Error message appears when you try to export a Creo authored data which is checked-in to Windchill through Creo.
The Creo authored CAD documents are published by Creo CAD worker only and not by Native CAD worker.
