Using the Open In IsoDraw Command
You can open an Arbortext IsoDraw illustration with an .idr or .iso file extension using the Open In > Open in IsoDraw or Open in IsoDraw commands from the following Windchill locations into your active Arbortext IsoDraw session:
Active workspace on the primary server
Workspace on the primary server
Workspace listing page
Right mouse button (RMB) on workspace listing page
Actions drop-down list in the commonspace and workspace
Folder listing page (commonspace page) under the Actions column
Add to workspace/Checkout UI when “Open initially selected object(s) in Authoring Application” check box is checked.
Windchill search result page
Navigator search result page
Primary Content report of a CAD document information page
Information System Manager with Service Parts (if installed)
Information Structure page
Folders page
Structure page
Workspace page
1. Depending on your preference, you can check out the illustration from Windchill before opening it. To do so, right-click the illustration and select check out.
2. Select Open In > Open in IsoDraw or Open in IsoDraw to open the illustration in an active Arbortext IsoDraw session.

If you haven’t checked out the illustration while in the active workspace, check out the illustration if you want to edit it in Arbortext IsoDraw. To do so, select Check Out in the Windchill toolbar.
3. When finished editing the illustration, you can save it to the active workspace, or check in using Checkin / Auto or Checkin / Custom from within Arbortext IsoDraw, or from within the active workspace.
