Upgrading Windchill 9.1 RSD Compressed Design Data to Windchill 10.2
When upgrading from Windchill 9.1 to Windchill 10.2 you will need to convert existing RSD (Routed System Design) compressed design data so it can be used in Windchill 10.2.
1. From the Upgrade Server perform an Add to Workspace action on the legacy Design, to active the workspace using Windchill Workgroup Manager for ECAD.
2. Navigate to the Workspace Local Directory and extract the RSD zip file to an empty folder outside the Workspace Local Directory <emptyTempDir> /tempUnzipFolder.
3. Open the design using RSD tool to determine the RSD project name of the design (RSD_ProjectName). RSD tool will upgrade the design.
4. Save the design and close RSD.
5. If the project name was found, rename tempUnZipedFolder to RSD_ProjectName. If you cannot recognize the project name, rename tempUnZipedFolder to a meaningful name.
6. Perform an Import from <emptyTempDir> /RSD_ProjectName.
7. Copy the updated RSD project to the local Workspace Local Directory (WLD) using a path similar to this: <WLD> /<EPM-doc-number>_design/RSD_ProjectName.
