Associating New Defects with a Software Build
You can associate one or more new defects from second-party and third-party defect-tracking systems such as Integrity Defects, Bugzilla or Atlassian JIRA with a software build.
1. On the software build information page, click the Changes tab. The Associated Defects table appears on the tab. Use the Associate New action of the Associated Defects table toolbar.
2. Select Associate New from the Actions list. The Associate Defects To Build Object window opens. The following fields appear on this window.
Field Name
Description
Associate to Build
Name of the software build. You cannot edit this value.
Association Type
Select one of the following association types:
Reported In—Indicates that the defect was reported in this build.
Submitted To—Indicates that the fixes for the defect were submitted with this build.
Keyword
Enter a keyword to search on.
Repository
Select a repository from the drop-down repository list.
Product
Select a product from the drop-down product list.
State
Select a state from the drop-down state list.
3. Click Search to search for one or more defects in the remote defect-tracking systems or in Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software using the Search window.
4. The results are populated in the Defects table. Select defect or defects and click OK or Apply to load and save the defect.
