Performing User-initiated Replication
*
If Replicate does not appear in the Actions menu, your user account is not a member of the Replication Managers group. Contact an administrator for assistance. If you are an administrator, see Adding Members to the Replication Manager Group for more information.
To perform user-initiated replication:
1. Access the user-initiated replication window.
2. Select the checkboxes of the CAD objects whose dependents you want to replicate. (You will identify which CAD dependents you want to replicate later in this procedure.)
3. Select sites that you want to replicate from the File Server Sites field and then click Add.
4. Optionally, select All Dependents or Required Dependents to determine dependency settings for CAD documents. This action applies only to CAD Document objects that were selected.
For each target CAD document, dependents use the as stored configuration specification if it exists. If it does not exist, the latest configuration specification is used.
5. Click OK.
After you click OK, the system begins the replication job. The results of the job (success, failure, errors, and so on) are available in the Event Console window. The replicated objects are replicated to the vault that is the default target for the site. The system automatically creates a predictive caching rule and schedule to replicate future iterations of the object.
