Third Party Proprietary—Example Security Label
The Third Party Proprietary custom security label is used to indicate if an object is subject to a third party’s non-disclosure agreement. In this example, there is an outside system that presents a user with a non-disclosure agreement. Once the user accepts that agreement, he or she is added to a corresponding Windchill group that represents the participants who have agreed to the non-disclosure agreement for the third party company. In some cases, an object may be part of more than one third party non-disclosure agreement. In that case, the user must be a member of all third party non-disclosure agreement groups. Possible security label values, user membership in the appropriate groups, and corresponding clearance to an object with the Third Party Proprietary label applied is tracked using a custom Java class.
