Property Changes - Post Windchill Server Upgrade
*
Windchill Gateway for Allegro Design Workbench customers who upgrade their Windchill 10.0 or 10.1 to Windchill 11.0 must install ADW Gateway Vertical after the upgrade in order to use the new capabilities of 11.0 Windchill Gateway for Allegro Design Workbench.
The installation of ADW Gateway Vertical after the upgrade does not apply when upgrading from Windchill 10.2 to 11.0.
When your server is upgraded, upon completion, your Windchill Administrator must also update certain Allegro Design Workbench properties to enable synchronization of part metadata between Allegro Design Workbench and Windchill.
*
If property updates remain incomplete, when synchronizing parts to or to Allegro Design Workbench, parts are iterated but their values do not change.
To complete the post server upgrade property changes:
1. In the Windchill navigation panel, select Site > Utilities > Type and Attribute Management
The Type and Attribute Management window appears.
2. In the Manage Types panel, select Part > Electrical Part
The Electrical Part type window appears.
3. Select Edit from the Actions menu.
*
You need to expand the window to view all of the necessary data.
4. Scroll the top section of the window until you see the property ADW Part Number Pattern.
5. Click in the property field and enter the appropriate part number pattern value. For example: CDN-CAP*,CDN-MEM*.
6. At the bottom of the window, select Save to save the property value.
7. Repeat the previous three steps to assign appropriate values for all applicable IBAs that are synchronized with Windchill and Allegro Design Workbench. For example:
ADW Library Attribute Type
ADW-WNC Sync Direction
ADW Attribute Name
*
IBAs Library Part Classification and Library Part Master Oid do not need to be edited.
