Windchill MPMLink: Cache Mechanism in MAPSB
Product: Windchill
Release: 11.1 M020
Benefit
Enables faster execution of actions that follow initial loading of the structure in cache.
Additional Details
Cache mechanism has been introduced to boost the performance of MAPSB. Cache mechanism is most effective when you are working with large product structures. The tree structure in the upstream and downstream views are stored in the cache memory for a MAPSB session. After the initial loading of the structure in cache, the cache mechanism enables the subsequent actions to be executed relatively faster. The cache building status is displayed below the MAPSB toolbar. This feature is also available in SAPSB.
The process of building cache for every session is controlled by the Enable Structure Cache preference.
