Publishing
This section describes how to configure the publishing process sequence between Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager and Windchill.
The following data is published to Windchill:
• Masterdata objects – Mapped to Windchill’s WTPart objects
• Product structure (Model Manager BOM) – Must be created explicitly by user before publishing to Windchill
• Viewable representations – Viewables can be displayed by Windchill’s integrated Creo View–based visualization.
• CAD document metadata – The Windchill Gateway does not publish CAD data (files) to Windchill. However, it does pass Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager metadata (such as creation data, owner, and so on) to Windchill. This is accomplished by creating a Windchill document for every Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager model and drawing and linking those documents to corresponding Windchill parts.
• Hyperlinks to the original CAD object that allow you to open Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager from Windchill.
