Overview of Installation
Installation of the Windchill Gateway for Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager involves many components. The following steps summarize the installation process:
1. Install MOM server
2. Install Windchill components
3. Install Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager components
Prerequisites

A successful Windchill Gateway for Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager installation requires the following prerequisites:
• Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.6 or higher on both the client and server
• Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 6.23 or higher installed on both the client and server
• Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager Server installed
• Windchill installed
Installing Components Sequence
You can install components by staging area (a file location from where the component downloads) on the respective CD, or by media.
• If you are choosing a staging area for installation, then you must copy the installers from the CD_WCOCREATEMM CD

This option is installed using the bundled PTC Solution Installer (PSI). Refer to the Windchill Installation and Configuration Guide, located at http://www.ptc.com/support/support.htm,for more details.
• If you choose media for installation, then you must point to the following correct installer locations on the CD:
◦ <CD drive>/CD_WCOCREATEMM for Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager Gateway Server Component
