Part Selection Tab
The Part Selection tab is used to select specific parts for re-use in the current process plan, or operation.
The part selection attributes that appear in the table are described below:

The Part Selection tab is not available when working in the dual structure mode of the Manufacturing Product Structure Explorer.
Attribute
Description
Name
The name of the part.
Number
The number of the part.
Version
The version of the part.
State
The current life cycle state of the part.
Quantity
The number of parts.
Unit
The unit of measurement of the quantity on the part master. (This property is also sometimes displayed as Default Units.)
This field is required when you create a part and can be updated using the Uses panel. Select one of the following from the drop-down menu: each, as needed, kilograms, meters, liters.
Context Name
The context (product or library) with which the part is associated. (Windchill PDMLink only)
You can choose a context when you create an mBOM.
Downstream Equivalent Status
The status of the mBOM part’s relationship to it’s equivalent part in the eBOM. For a description of the icons that appear in this column, see Icon Description.
Upstream Equivalent Status
The status of the eBOM part’s relationship to its equivalent part in the mBOM. For a description of the icons that appear in this column, see Icon Description.
Process Plan Allocation Indicator Column
Indicates whether or not a part has been allocated to a process plan. For a description of the icons that appear in this column, see Icon Description.
Upstream Equivalent Occurrence
The link between two part paths. Used to relate an occurrence path in an mBOM to an occurrence path in an eBOM. For a description of the icons that appear in this column, see Icon Description.
Downstream Equivalent Occurrence
The link between two part paths. Used to relate an occurrence path in an eBOM to an occurrence path in an mBOM. For a description of the icons that appear in this column, see Icon Description.
Available Actions
The following table explains the actions available from the toolbars on this tab:

Open Part
Opens the Search window where you can search for an existing part to open.
Close active structure
Closes the active structure.
Open In
Opens the product structure in a Creo View window.
Open in Explorer
Opens the selected part in a newProcess Plan Explorer.
Select in
Use to select the selected object and its related objects in an openCreo View explorer.
Select in Explorer
Use to select the selected object and its related objects in an open explorer or selection tab.
Edit Filter
Use to filter the structure using the configuration specifications defined by you. This option opens the Edit Expansion Criteria window so you can choose the criteria by which product structures are expanded. The configuration specification set by using this menu selection applies only to the current session of Process Plan Explorer.
Show Filter List
Opens a window showing a list of saved filters for the current user and any filters shared to the current user. To display a shared filter in this list use the Manage window and select Show for the shared filter. A default filter for the current context appears at the top of the list. Selecting an item in the list of filters in this window applies the filter to the current product structure.
Refresh
Updates the structure of the selected object according to the current configuration specification.
Information
Opens the Windchill PDMLink information page, which displays the actions and attributes for an object.
Copy
Places the selected part on the clipboard so the part can be used in another area.
Select Parent
Selects the parent of the currently selected object.
Expand All
Fully expands the structure of the selected object according to the current configuration specification.
Find in Structure
Finds objects that meet the entered criteria. Objects are displayed in the structure pane. Click Find Next to move to the next object that meets the entered criteria. Possible search types include Name and Number searches, and if visualization is enabled, geometric spatial searches.
Column Details
Opens the Column Details window, which can be used to configure the columns displayed in the table.
