BOM Allocated Parts Table
The BOM Allocated Parts table appears on the Part Allocations tab when an operation is selected in the navigation pane. This table can be used to manage the allocation of part usages to operations. Only parts that have been allocated from an active assembly are displayed. The Assembly Context column displays the assembly from which the part was allocated.
*
A check mark icon in the BOM allocation indicator column indicates that the part that has been allocated to the operation is listed in the BOM. A yellow icon indicates that a part has been allocated to an operation, but does not exist anymore in the BOM.
Available Actions
The following table explains the actions available from the toolbars on this table:

Icon
Action
Description
Allocate Part from BOM
Opens the Allocate Part from BOM panel, which displays a list of BOM parts that have not yet been allocated to an operation. This list can be used to allocate a part from the BOM and select the type of allocation to be created. Allocations can be Consumed, Produced, Destroyed or Disassembled.
Allocate Part
Opens the Search window where you can search for an existing part to associate with the selected operation.
Split Usage Link
Opens the Usage Splitting window, which allows you to define the quantity of a part that is to be kept on the current usage, and the quantity of a part that is to be made available for other uses.
Replace the Part with Replacement used in the BOM
In situations where a BOM part has been replaced with a substitute or alternate part, updates the part that has been allocated to an operation with the replacement part.
Remove
Removes the selected allocated part association.
Open In
Opens the object in a Creo View window.
Open in Explorer
Opens the selected allocated part in a new Manufacturing Product Structure Explorer or Creo View.
Select in
Use to select the selected object and its related objects in an open Creo View explorer.
Select in Explorer
Use to display a related part in an open explorer. Select the option you would like to view the operation in (for example, Manufacturing Product Structure Explorer, Process Plan Explorer).
Information
Opens the Windchill PDMLink information page, which displays the actions and attributes for part.
Cut
Places the selected allocated part on the clipboard, so you can add it as an allocated part to a different operation.
*
If the selected part cannot be removed, the system will perform a copy.
Copy
Places the selected allocated part on the clipboard, so the part can be an allocated part for another operation.
Paste
Places an allocated part from the clipboard in the selected location.
*
The following notes apply to pasting an allocated part:
If the part is a part without any prior usage information, then you are asked whether or not you want to create a new usage in the BOM and allocate it to the operations; if the user clicks on OK, the system would create a new usage in the BOM and then automatically allocate it to the operation.
If the pasted part has part usages in the BOM of the associated process plan part and this usage is not yet allocated to any operation, then it will be allocated to the operation.
Consume from Upstream BOM as Selected
Adds the equivalent clipboard part to the operation and creates a downstream part in the mBOM. This will also create an equivalent occurrence link and an equivalent link. The type of allocation is automatically set to Consumed.
Consume from Upstream BOM as New Branch
Adds the equivalent clipboard part to the operation and creates a downstream branch in the mBOM. This creates an equivalent occurrence link and an equivalent link. The type of allocation is automatically set to Consumed.
Consume from Upstream BOM as New Part
Adds the equivalent clipboard part to the operation and creates a downstream part in the mBOM.
Column Details
Opens the Column Details window, which can be used to configure the columns displayed in the table.
