Edit Relationships
This topic describes the Edit Relationships action, available from the active workspace.
Edit Relationships allows you to modify the relationships of a derived object to a board or schematic, or the relationship of a board to a schematic. The Edit Relationships action is available only for ECAD derived objects and ECAD boards.

The ECAD derived object and ECAD board object need to be in a New or checked out state in the workspace for this action to appear.

To use the Edit Relationships action:
1. From the design’s information page (a board in this example), select > as shown in the following figure.
The Edit Relationships window opens.
2. Edit the relationship for a board object (complete this step), or for a derived object (complete the next step).
a. Search for the source schematic in the second field using the search icon
.
b. Click OK.
The relationship is modified.
3. Edit the relationship for a derived object
a. Search for the source schematic or board object in the second field using the search icon
.
| If the derived or board object is in a Windchill Project, then the schematic or board document must be in the same Project. If the derived or board object is in a Windchill Product or Library, then the schematic or board document cannot be in a Windchill Project. |
b. Click OK.
The relationship is modified.
