Performing an Advanced Search
You can access the Advanced Search functionality by clicking the Search tab on theWindchill Workgroup Manager or Creo Parametric navigator pane. The navigator pane then displays the most recently used of either the Simple Search or the Advanced Search mode. If Search is displayed, click the Advanced Search link at the bottom of the navigator pane.
To perform an advanced search:
1. If you have already saved previous search criteria, select Customize from the search selection menu and click Go.
The Saved Searches window appears where you can select and/or manage previously saved searches. For more information, see Saving a Search and Managing Saved Searches.
2. Select your preliminary search criteria in the following fields:
Search in—Select from the contexts or sub-folders in the menu.
Search for—Select Creo Parametric Models or specific file types from the menu.
Updated—Select Anytime or a more specific time period from the menu.
3. In the Specific Criteria area, enter or select values in the following fields to create a search condition:
Search for—Select from a menu of modeled attributes or global attributes.

If the site preference to display organization information is set to yes, you are also able to enter criteria for Organization Name.
Of Value—Select the appropriate operator.
Variable/string value—Enter or select the appropriate value for your condition.
4. Click Add. Your condition is added to a list of criteria which you can extend by repeating Steps 3 and 4.
5. To edit a condition, select it and click Edit. You can then edit the condition by reselecting the criteria as described in Steps 3 and 4 of this procedure.
6. To remove any condition, select it and click Delete. Selecting the All check box selects all criteria.
7. Clear Match All Criteria to search for objects that meet any of the specific criteria. With Match All Criteria selected, only those objects which meet all of the criteria are returned.
8. Click Search.
Summary search results are listed in a table at the bottom of the pane, showing open in CAD application icon, CAD application file type icon, CAD document name, CAD document version, and CAD document state.
Clicking the ’Open in CAD Tool icon’ opens the model in its CAD application.
Clicking the CAD document name link presents the information page for the CAD document in the content browser. On the information page are controls for you to checkout or download the CAD document.
Detailed Search results are presented in the Search Results table in the browser window. For more information on the Search Results table, see the online help available from the table.
Clicking the number link brings up the details page with more options for action on the object.
