Opening Objects in an Explorer
The Open in Explorer window allows you to view selected objects in an explorer. Depending on the object selected, different explorer options are displayed.

Objects are opened in accordance with the existing filter criteria and option rules (if applicable). Depending on your licensing rights, some options are not available.
Open the Open in Explorer window by selecting one or more objects and then choosing View > Open in Explorer in the Service Product Structure Explorer, or by clicking on the open in explorer icon elsewhere in Windchill Service Parts.
The Open in Explorer window has the following options.
Open Option
Structure — Opens the selected object in an open or new Service Product Structure Explorer or Creo View Explorer.
Upstream Equivalent Part — Opens the selected part's upstream equivalent part in an open or new Service Product Structure Explorer or Creo View Explorer.
Common Parent — If multiple parts are selected, opens the parts' common parent part in an open or new Service Product Structure Explorer or Creo View Explorer.
Representation — Opens the selected part's representation in a new Creo View Explorer. If the Manufacturing Product Structure Explorer has been opened in dual structure mode, you have the option of opening or selecting the part in either the upstream or downstream pane.
Downstream Equivalent Occurrence — Opens the selected part's downstream equivalent part in an open or new Service Product Structure Explorer or Creo View Explorer.
Explorer list — Lists explorers available for opening the selected object(s). Available explorers vary based on the selected Open Option.
Add to current "Creo" instance — When selected, opens the representation as an additional view within the current Creo View instance.
OK — Opens the object(s) using this selected options.
Cancel — Closes the Open in Explorer window without opening the selected object(s).
