Preview
Previewing allows you to preview a Windchill object within an active Windchill Arbortext IsoDraw session before opening or placing it in Windchill Arbortext IsoDraw.
Windchill objects that can be previewed in an Windchill Arbortext IsoDraw active session are:
• Part assembly files.
• Windchill Arbortext IsoDraw files.
• Graphic dynamic documents.
1. In an active Windchill Arbortext IsoDraw session, select > or > .
Or,
In an active
Windchill Arbortext IsoDraw session, select > or > and click
Windchill
to open the
Windchill Workgroup Manager client.
2. If the part assembly, illustration or graphic dynamic document to preview is not located here, you can search for it.
a. If you know the file name: Browse to and select the file name from the
Open window. You can also click
Windchill
in the
Open window to browse for the file.
b. If you do not know the file name: Enter the search keyword in the
Search field of the
Open window and click
Enter. You can also click the
Windchill
button in the
Open window to browse for the file. From the
Search Results table, browse to and select the file name you want to preview.
3. Select Preview in the Open window
to view the file before opening or placing it in Windchill Arbortext IsoDraw.
a. Click Open if you want to open or place the file in Windchill Arbortext IsoDraw.
b. Click Cancel if you want to close the file without opening or placing it.
| Updating a source in Windchill Arbortext IsoDraw fails if a object that was placed in an illustration is renamed in Windchill during an open session. If this happens, synchronize the workspace, close the Windchill Arbortext IsoDraw illustration, reopen it, and update the source again. |
