Locating, Previewing, Opening, and Importing Files
This section explains how to locate, preview, open, and place dynamic documents.
The following files types (without natural data, and without the dependences between them) are supported:
*.c3di (Creo Illustrate)
*.wrl (VRML)
*.stl
*.pvz
*.ed
*.pvs
*.edz
*.iges
*.igs
*.sla
*.dgn
*.dwf
*.dewfx
*.dwg
*.dxf
*.gbf
*.gaf
Published Content Documents Information Table
You can determine if CreoView representations of CAD documents and Creo Illustrate illustrations are created and saved as a Graphics Dynamic Document for a CAD document by browsing to the information page of the CAD document and navigating to the Published Content Documents information table. Any Graphics Dynamic Documents created for this CAD document will display in this table. For an overview of the Published Content Documents information table, click the information icon.
Previewing Before Opening or Importing a File
Within Creo Illustrate, you can locate both CreoView representations of CAD documents and Creo Illustrate illustrations by browsing using File > Import from Windchill. Refer to Previewing Before Downloading.
Using File Open and File Import
Within Creo Illustrate, you can locate both CreoView representations of CAD documents and Creo Illustrate illustrations by browsing using File > Open or File > Import > From Windchill. Refer to Opening a File.
Creo Illustrate Dynamic Document Information Page
The Creo Illustrate information page is a collection point for information related to Creo Illustrate dynamic document objects. The information page of an Creo Illustrate dynamic document object is accessed by clicking the information icon.
From the information page, you can perform actions on an Creo Illustrate dynamic document object, as well as view the object attributes and any related information.
Information pages contain a list of applicable actions in a menu just below the object identification line. See “Common Actions” for a list of common actions available in Windchill.
The availability of these actions depends on the status of the Creo Illustrate dynamic document object, as well as your access to it. For more information about status indicators, see “Status Indications in the Windchill Help Center.
The following tabs are viewable on the Creo Illustrate dynamic document information page. You can customize the tabs that appear on each object information page to display the information most useful to you.

Details
The Details tab lists the primary attributes associated with the object, along with a Where Used information table, showing where the object is used.
If there is a default representation, a visualization of the graphic will also display. See “About Visualization” for more information.
See “Common Attributes” for a list of common attributes available in Windchill.
Related Objects
The Related Object tab allows you to view representations of the graphic.
If this object was created from a PVZ graphic dynamic document, then a Source and Image table will show its source PVZ object as well.
History
The History tab contains a version history and time line of the object.
